What's funny is that the original charts only use musical notation for the vocal melody... no lie- they're in the Warhol Museum haha.

That´s a difficult task because Cale has made so many different albums ranging from Rock (Island Years, Black Accetate, Honi Soit,) to Classical (Words For The Dying, Acadamy In Peril), from Experimental (JC; New York In The 60´ies, Music For A New Society, also Nico´s Marble Index and Desertshore)to World Music (Eat/Kiss), from Country (Vintage Violence, Last Day on Earth) to Jazz (Church Of Anthrax). And least not to forget his major influence on Alternative/Underground/Punk in the Velvets!

A great what could have been...John Cale working on Berlin instead of the guitar player from Alice Cooper.

no. just his songs sound more like the chords just fell into place. in fact its probably the melody in his voice that give his songs their structure |
