because the fighters are judged(refered)to as the "red fighter" and "white fighter", the sash is to mark the "red fighter"

kyokushin can beat muay thai any time nd any day ;p .. if u dnt belive me .. get a black belt in kyokushin then go out nd fight a muay thai fighter .. but i warn u brother .. u have 2 train hard .. MOTIVATION is the answer ;p
