Anybody at all can play the blues if they're feeling it and no one else should tell them they can't play it cus they're from a certain area or a certain culture, it's ignorant and furthermore telling people that they arnt allowed to do something because you've decided they are not worthy is as bad as any racism out there.

1.) Tom waits is a fantastic musician and can most certainly play the vlues in a non conventional way 2.) Howlin wolf's enormous hands dwarf that harmonica and you can barely see it

tom waits i think isnt the greatest but i resent it when people say whites can't play/ sing the blues. jorma kaukonens a good example. so are paul butterfield and john mayall.
