I was a flapper last Halloween, and a hippie the one before haha. I absolutely, positively love this video; the music and the outfits add to the universal joie de vivre :) Thank you very much for sharing it!

This entire video reminds me of the stories my great-grandma would tell me. Thank you so much. I smiled throughout the whole thing.

If you look closely, you'll notice that almost all the women's shoes at that period tied at the ankle. Kept them from flinging them off while doing the charleston.

Town of Hoogeveen, Netherlands 1927, rev. Van der Knijff, barking from his pullpit; ''You girls, who mock yourselves up in the cursed vanity of the Babylonain and Egyptian whores, will all inherit eternal damnation !'' Wonder what that poor man would say about todays youth culture.

Oh, I LOVE this clip. It exemplifies all of what the life of a woman was in the urban 1920's!
