I do like Ray of Light, but I would hardly call that album (or the other two you mentioned) "artistic." Madonna is a commercial artist and has *always* been about that. I'm not saying that Cher is any different in the end, just that we shouldn't pretend some of this pop dirge is "artistic." Most of the big divas in the end are really just interested in money and fame. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but let's call a spade a spade.
