guys take it from Jonaccording to him, politicians is a song about heaven. he's saying 'i pledge allegience to a country without borders, without politicians'. he's talking about heaven.

umm guys he pretty much explained it in the clip, this song is about you being the problem, you being the politician, we always blame the wars on the actual politicians of our countries, while all along we create the wars, we're the politicians...

this song is completely religious, its saying jon is a citizen to heaven and God over a citizen to the US "i pledge allegiance to a country with out borders with out Politicians" jon is saying he is pledging him self to God and heaven a place where no politics exist, their is just the love of God, heaven has no borders, it is eminently large and everyone is invited. and notice jon says this is what this means to him in this video so he wants you to get what ever makes since to you out of it
