Anywhere you can get the shot works for me.

Ha! Nice! :) They're not very common around here either, I shot this one on vacation... I've seen one here and there, but there haven't been that many in the area.

they are scarce around my parts here.. in CA I had one in my back yard..he would come really close to me...buzzing and scared the crap outta me one time...he would fly way up in the air and come as fast as he could down to buzz a tree..then back up and then again and again!

Thank you! :) I've seen them in the area before (I took a picture of one buzzing around a flower on one of our trees), but I haven't seen them lately...

Very cool - thanks! I'll check that out! I want to check out the video response too when I get a chance (I can't watch it here~)

You should! If you feed them, they will come... Here is a great, easy to clean feeder- HumZinger dot biz Click on HumZinger feeders. Recipe for home made nectar is 1 part sugar to 4 parts water.

Hehe... they must be tired of the paparazzi - :) I've seen a few in the yard before, but I've never tried to put out a feeder here... I should really try that some day! |
