Sometimes it's hard to distinguish Canadians from Americans, until Socialism enters the converstation.

Pleblian-I always wondered about that but thought it might be rude to ask. We'll see if Obama & Biden can clean up the mess. I can always find like-minded people in Oregon but I can't afford to pay back my share of the national debt!

Ya... I remember listening too, and it never dawned on me, just how much of that music was written, performed and produced by Canadians until I moved to the states.

Hi there, my dad loved GL and promptly gave me my middle name as Gordon. I must say that my love of music is a hand me down from my dad and I can easily see that the music I listen to now is very similar to the music he listened to then. Sorry to bore you, but a connection happened, A current Aussie musician Luke Foran, I went to see this year, played a Gordon Lightfoot song and it was a beautful moment for me and probably no one else but I didn.t care it was like a vision of the 70's.....

yeh; I'm an old aussie fan, and his voice seems perfectly fine to me. A very cool guy is GL.

One thing I remember fondly about living in Ottawa as a teenager in the early Eighties was listening to his music (also Anne Murray's)on the radio. Such a simpler time then...
