"They(tv reporters) ask me 'Did you see ice falling from the edge of glaciers?' 'Yes. That's the "spring break-up". That happens every year.' The press comes to us all the time, you know, 'I want to see something of the greenhouse disaster.' I say 'There is none(chuckles).' Al Gore made a big deal out of the Northwest Passage opening a few months ago. But he was grossly negligent to not also state that it has been open several times in history--rather, he tried to make it appear some very unusual thing had happened. So since he promoted a hysteria based idea I think it should be pointed out that, in reality, there is nothing to worry about. The Northwest Passage opening and closing is an event that falls within the boundries of normal occurances in the earth.

"Future generations will wonder in bemused amazement that the early 21st century's developed world went into hysterical panic over a globally averaged temperature increase of a few tenths of a degree, and,on the basis of gross exaggerations of highly uncertain computer projections combined into implausible chains of inference, proceeded to contemplate a roll-back of the industrial age"---Richard Lindzen-MIT-member National Academy of Science-member IPCC
