the tars are from pesticides,fertilizers and toxic additives. pure organic tobacco is 100 percent safe. the cancers are caused by toxins not from nicotine. the human brain has nicotine receptors. nicotine is active in the brain not the lungs or any other organ in the body. toxins cause cancers. there is a big difference between CIGARETTES AND PURE ORGANIC TOBACCO. there is NO recorded cancers in any native tribes WORLDWIDE,EVER.

I want to point something out. It's not actually the same tar that's put on roads, etc.. Hence the reason most cigarette manufacturers put it in quotes on the box.Anyways, I'm a smoker. I know of these dangers. But :o I don't really care because I'm going to die eventually anyway.I don't smoke much compared to most people, maybe a couple packs a week, but still.Anyways, this isn't gonna make me stop smoking.Call me an idiot, call me whatever you want, i get it on a daily basis. :)<3John

the 'tar' isn't the road tar.its the stuff that comes from burning it. I can't explain it, but its kinda like tar.but it comes from the burning process. its not ADDED

Why do they put tar in cigarettes, is it a by-product of the manufacturing process or a natural occurence in the tobacco plant or what?

When you inhale the smoke your lungs dont obsorb close to 100% of the tar. Also if you use a volcano vapourizer theres no tar at all.
