世界各国で演奏活動を けてきた和太鼓奏者、西野恵。和太鼓の可能性を広げ独自の世界を構築し、伝統芸能の世界だけではなく、音楽、エンターテイメントといった世界での活動を行う為、「鼓絆～ＣＯＨＡＮ」を結成。メンバーは西野恵を中心に、近田春夫＆ハルヲフォンの恒田義見、四人囃子・岡井大二、坂下秀実、安全バンド・長沢ヒロ、Ｂｏｏｗｙ・高橋まこと。和太鼓の魅力に感銘された実力派ミュージシャンがヴォーカル、キーボード、オリジナルのパーカッション類等とのアンサンブルで伝統の「和」の世界をアーティスティックに表現。独創的な空間を作り出す和太鼓の枠を超えた打楽器集団。
